Splendid Houseware

e-commerce website

Concept project - Two weeks sprint

Brief: create a website to support the local community by allowing people to order some products online.

I started by doing a competitive analysis and going on a site visit to different houseware shops where I conducted a few user interviews.

After the competitors' research, I proceeded to build the information architecture of the website, such as the main menu and the website navigation, this, after I gathered all the data needed from a technique called card sorting.

I sketched the website layout based in 3 different user flows; from these, I created wireframes to proceed and test in prototypes from low-fidelity to mid-fidelity going through various iterations in between.

All these work resulted in a successful journey showcased in a

mid-fidelity prototype of 3 main sections of the website

(Selecting a product, adding a product to the basket and proceeding to checkout).

Final delivery: Desktop website mid-fidelity prototype.
